The company Be Tabu ir Ko, ltd was established in 1998. At that moment, still a small team in number began to develop an info show ‘Be Tabu’ (Without Tabu) on TV3, as well as an exploratory publicist show ‘Abipus Sienos’ (Both Sides of the Border).
In 1999, a new project criminal show ‘X Sektorius’ (X Sector) appeared. In the same year, two projects - ‘Abipus sienos’and info show ‘Be Tabu’- both the products of the same company, were awarded as Ad Rem the best publicist documentaries.
The TV3 audience met the 2003 together with the New Year concert, well organized and highly entertaining by Be Tabu ir Ko. In the same year the production company Be Tabu ir Ko began broadcasting on LTV national channel. In the autumn of the same year the viewers saw political debate show ‘Dviguba Teisybė’ (Double Truth). The Lithuanian political celebrities were involved to defend their truth in hot debates. Simultaneously, the LTV viewers were introduced to a new TV game show ‘Krašto Garbė’ (Honor of the Country) - fun and unexpected. Also, another publicist documentary show ‘Požiūris’ (Outlook) was being broadcasted in the same autumn. In 2003, the audience was introduced to a unique and non-precedent show ‘Gintarinė Ledi’ (Amber Lady). In the price-ring full of artificial honey, 27 ladies in total contested in the prize competition for a brand-new car. In the summer of 2003 a new reality-show ‘Meiles trikampis’ (Love Triangle) appeared on the screen. The licensed TV show became most watched summer TV show.
In 2004, TV3 ‘Išsipildymo Akcija’ (A Dream Come True campaign) was organized, and the funds, raised during the campaign, were allocated to children‘s orphanages. In 2004, the team of Be Tabu ir Ko made the first TV show ‘Lietuvos Garbė’ (Honor of Lithuania). For the first time in Lithuanian history, the people awarded in this show were not only, as usual, famous and honored to Lithuania, but ordinary Lithuanian people as well, who became the nominees of ‘Lietuvos Garbė’ for their courage and dedication.
In 2005 the viewers were introduced to a new project, TV talk show ‘Seifas’ (Safe). A team of judges in the show, composed of Lithuania’s celebrities, had to make a decision who to allocate money to, in order to support the dream of the winner.
In the summers of 2005 and 2006, TV3 successfully broadcasted a reality show ‘Meiles Trikampis 2’ and ‘Meiles Trikampis 3’. In 2007 and 2008, ‘Meiles Trikampis 4’ and ‘Meiles Trikampis 5’ were moved to another TV channel Tango TV. In the 2009 summer ‘Meiles Trikampis 6’ reappeared on TV3.
In 2006, a journal of yellow pages appeared under the name of TOP 10. It actually encouraged the appearance of similar projects on TV. In 2006, one of the most watched shows became a two-hour weekly entertaining TV show ‘Puikusis Šou’ (Fine Show). TV show was shown four seasons in a row on TV3.
In the spring of 2007 ‘Dzin’ was introduced to the viewers of TV3. It was the first humorous sitcom. ‘Dzin’ is one of the most watched shows on TV3.
In 2008 LNK started broadcasting colourful and sensitive lifestyle project ‘Gyvenimas pagal Moteris’ (Lifestyle a la Women). Shortly, it became one of the most watched and famous shows on TV. This season of 2009 autumn, the viewers of LNK can watch ‘Gyvenimas pagal Moteris’ the second season in a row.
Since 2008, a new info-show ‘Kakadu’ has been delivering the hottest news to the LNK audience. Three times per week the latest local and foreign news were introduced in the info show. In the show the viewers can enjoy observing Lithuanian celebrities’ lives, marriages, divorces, christening, celebrations, parties, etc. Also, since the season of 2009, the audience can watch ‘Kakadu’ news four times per week.
In the end of 2008, ‘Laba Diena’ (Good Day) was introduced to the viewers of LNK. ‘Laba Diena’ is a humorous sitcom, being successfully broadcasted on LNK for the second season in a row.
In the summer of 2009, the LNK viewers were introduced to a dating reality show ‘Kitas’ (Next). In the same summer, another reality show ‘Pirmas Kartas su Žvaigžde’ (First Time with a Star) began. The people on the show are ordinary Lithuanian people, who have never been abroad, having their first trip abroad together with Lithuanian celebrities.
During all those years, a number of charismatic, skilled and talented people have been part of Be Tabu ir Ko team: Ramunė Kurienė, Vytautas Tulevičius, Jurga Gusarovienė, Greta Šapkaitė, Jurgis Jefremovas, Indrė Makaraitytė, Rimas Šapauskas, Virginijus Gaivenis, Antanas Smetona, Rūta Skatikaitė, Rūta Laukaitytė, etc. Press articles and TV interviews on their hard work and effort were issued in the top periodicals of the country.
Be Tabu ir Ko shows often reach the tops in TV show rating charts. The team is working hard to achieve the best results, and that is highly appreciated by the viewers. In the office premises, well organized and equipped, there work more than 50 people-journalists, editors, TV directors, scriptwriters, operators and video editors.
